Not an active blog anymore, but still has a lot of good Family and Consumer Sciences Recipes

Hello. In fall of 2021, my school district asked me to no longer post pictures on this blog, which pretty much ended the point of this student-run blog. However, I still have many of my classroom recipes on here. They are all designed to be done in 45 or 120 minute classes depending on the recipe. In 2024, I left Gunnison Middle School and in 2025, took a new position at the Gunnison Watershed School District Pathways Center. The Pathways Center is our Career and Technical Education campus. I can still be reached at bhubbard@gunnisonschools.net if anyone is trying to find me.

Take good care everyone,

Mrs. Hubbard

More Sewing While Teacher is On Quarantine

 Projects in the making!

Covid Quarantine!

We had a Covid positive in my family last week and the kids and I were put on Quarantine and we have 10 days we can't be at work or school.  My husband can go to work because he had Covid in the last 90 days, so lucky him I guess. ;)  I am teaching from home and there is a Sub Teacher in my room to be the Adult in Charge and give F2F support. Modern Teaching is Really Something!

Caramel Apples

Today, we made fresh caramel, and spread it over the top of fresh sliced apples from Connor Orchards. It was delicious! Just remember to not let your sugar burn, or else you have burnt caramel instead of sweet yummy delicious caramel! Sadly, we didn’t get a photo of the finished product! But it was sure yummy in our tummies! Thank you Laurie, Ed, & Wyatt Conner for all the goodness your provide to the Western Slope!!!
