English Intervention Documents Snow - Ya Man!
This week we had a CRAZY snow storm!!!! We even had a snow day and did not have school on Monday. Last Friday, many students were also absent. EI class took out Ipads and documented their snow experience. Here are some comments and phots.
On my first picture it shows a tree with a lot of snow. And the last photo it shows ice - Levy
Ms Hubbard is climbing on a mountain and having fun with the snow and Jose, Kenny, Bogdan, and I got stuck in the snow and Mrs. Hubbard had to pull us out - Janel
The things that I saw were there were a lot of snow and that it snowed a lot. The snow only snowed for two days and the snow was really deep in just in to days. The mountains had so much snow and it is cold and you can get sick - Kenny
My pictures are the snowy mountain and a lot of snow on the tree The weather has calmed down but it's still pretty cold out there and the snow is getting deeper and lots of snow is in the field you can't even walk anywhere and the mountains are covered in deep snow and there's huge icicles and it's really cold and so much snow! There are 4 inches out there! - Jose
The snow is by my legs and we had snowy day. Mrs. Hubbard went and she slid down on the snow. - Bogdan

Ode To David Lopez Over Savory Muffins
My Reading Intervention Students recently introduced me to David Lopez who is a very funny man, and you will learn shortly how he relates to our classroom events today...
Today, we made a Savory Muffin (which is the opposite of a Sweet Muffin). Our muffin had cheddar cheese, green chilies, and Hot Sauce! They were super YUMMY! I made this same recipe at home this week without the hot sauce, and let me tell you, my students know where it is at when they added that hot sauce to our muffins because the taste improved considerably. We also put a few dashes of the good stuff on after the muffins came out of the oven but before they went into our mouths and BAM! WONDERFUL GOODNESS for snack time.
We also attempted to learn that 1/2 of a Tablespoon is = to 1 1/2 teaspoons, but we have not quite remembered that fact as of yet...
So, in the end, we decided to make an Ode to David Lopez with our Tapatio laced muffins. (well knock-off Tapatio sauce in this case) So, David Lopez, thank you for sharing your humor with us, and here is some for you:
