7/8 A Good Day With Pumpkins

A Day of Cooking in Room A122

Pumpkin cookies. does that sound good? Well it did to Mrs. Hubbard and I have to admit it sounded a little gross to me. I do not like pumpkin pie so I thought the cookies were not going to taste good. I was definitely wrong. About half of the class added to much margarine so the batter did not turn out as it was suppose to so we had to double the recipe. Must be a thing, all the recipes my group has made the margarine has something wrong with it, whether it is the butter liquidizing or adding to much. The batter made way to much it felt like, and it was very thick. As Tristan said, " This batter is so thick it could be pasta!" Whatever that means. Kitchen 2's group was the only kitchen that did not mess up the batter.** Here Conner is smiling for only making one batch. Well maybe he isn't smiling as much as getting ready to hit a home run.

Here kitchen three is eating there dough instead of the cookies what we all do, when we don't want to wait for the cookies to come out of the oven.

So all in all it was a good cooking day in Family Consumer Sciences. With delicious pumpkin puree, pumpkin cookies, and pumpkin seeds. So much pumpkin!
See you next time in room A122.

**Kitchen 5 had the recipe correct as well and a BIG THANK YOU to Garrett who caught
Mrs. Hubbard's mistake in which she had two different measurements of margarine on the recipe sheet.  Ooops!  Mrs. Hubbard!
